"I am a licensed master social worker from Wayne State University. I studied psychodynamic psychotherapy with a focus on relational psychotherapy. I began practicing in 2009. Since that time, I have also been trained in numerous evidenced based practices that I have also incorporated into my daily practice. These include CBT, DBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and CBT for Insomnia.
As a relational psychotherapist, I believe that people’s relationships with themselves, their therapist, and the world around them is part of the solution to overcoming trauma and life circumstances that have gotten them “stuck”. I enjoy working with adults as they transition through life stages to promote self-awareness and healthy behaviors with a special attention to persons struggling with past trauma, chronic pain, sleep disorders and other chronic health concerns that have negatively impacted their well-being. When working with me, my priority will be to ensure a safe and welcoming environment and to develop a non-judgmental and interactive therapeutic relationship. We will focus on current concerns as well as developing an understanding of how your past may be interfering with your present day functioning. I offer telehealth appointments so that therapy can be easily incorporated into your busy life.
